Stoneware is a very strong and durable material. The Bungalow range of stoneware items are manufactured with glaze applied by hand to obtain the special look that you fell for.  Varieties in colour such as small spots and unevenness may occur. These charming imperfections are not considered defects. The types of glazes are “crackle” glaze and “reactive” glaze. For both types, the crackle effect is part of the product and therefore intended. The different colour effects in the glaze occur by mixing pure mineral oxides at high temperature. The look and intensity of colour will vary from item to item. Therefore, please note that all items are unique and might vary from the colours showed in the catalogue. The crackle look will increase with usage. All items can be machine dish washed. Microwave use is not recommended. 

About the brand

Danish designer Minna Hildebrandt founded Bungalow ceramics and home textiles in 2004. Her husband is from the beautiful state of Kerala in South India, and she has always been fascinated by the beauty and colours of India and intrigued by the traditional crafts. Each Bungalow product has a story and has been created by the finest craftsmen rather than mere machinery. Her passion is the Indian patterns of paisleys, florals, borders and repetition of motifs, and the art of block-printing on textiles which she combines with the iconic Scandinavian ascetics.

Returns & exchanges
In case you change your mind, you can exchange your items within 14 days of purchase. Customers can exchange items or receive a credit note (Credit notes are valid for 6 months) for the original item's value.

Items need to be returned to our warehouse and can only be exchanged if they are unused and in original packaging. 

No cash refunds. Please note: Sale and custom orders can not be returned.
