Our story

Desert River Event Rentals was founded in January 2004 by Dutchies Claudia van der Werf and Michiel Schröeder. Both had extensive experience with international five-star hotel chains prior to landing in Dubai and fell in love with the dynamic and progressive desert city.

Many years later, Desert River is still thriving and has many loyal customers. We have been part of some of the most spectacular events in the region in the past years and have built a solid team of super friendly professionals.

Our focus is on quality sustainable furniture & lighting, and we always look for contemporary and original pieces to add to our portfolio.

Top service is our number one priority – we want your event to be a great success and we will go out of our way to help you achieve your goals.

We offer most of our products for rent as well as for sale, and we invite you to visit our showroom in Al Quoz for an inspirational experience.

We are members of the ILEA (International Live Events Association), the association for event industry professionals who are passionate about knowledge, networking and event creativity.

And when we don’t work? You’ll find us working out at Barry’s Bootcamp, or enjoying the sunset somewhere with a G&T.
